Gabe, very nice tank!

question regarding your filtration ...

I'm running a HOB filter on my 15-gallon rimless.

Your using a Bulk Reef Supply media single stage reactor filled with all kinds of good stuff. That strikes me as possibly a superior solution to an HOB filter. How well does the polyfill handle mechanical filtration? How often do you need to clean it out or change the media? Where do you have it mounted? Any other thoughts on how it has worked for you?

Thanks.

I've got it mounted below the tank via PVC lines the. Also I've modded a subcurrent overflow to utilize surface skimming. I upgraded the stock pump to a maxi jet 900 with a flow regulator inline. For ease of use I baffled the overflow with poly fil so every couple of days I could change it without the need to open the reactor and it leaves extra room for media.

A man was hit by a cab in the street. He was brought to the hospital. His wife who was standing up by his bed, said to the doctor: "I think that he is very ill." "I am afraid that he is dead."said the doctor,Hearing this, the man moved his head and said: "I'm not dead. I'm still alive." "Be quiet, "said the wife. "the doctor knows better than you!"
Just then a voice called from outside the door, "If you do, I won't go."
