guys i have been wanting to get a new light but dont want to spend the $600-$1500 on it. So i looked into these lights i have heard many a horror story on the old style 1 plug ballast, but everything seems to be the same as any other MH set up.
So if anyone out there has experiance with the newer lights from odyssea let me know

They seemed to have fixed the output problem on the metal halide ballasts, but I am not aware of them fixing the quality of their PM/T5 ballasts. They seem to still go out quite frequently. If you are looking at T5, the reflectors aren't the greatest quality either and the output will significantly suffer.

If I were you I would buy good equipment and buy once. If you are looking at T5 ATI sunpower is an affordable option with nearly the same output as the powermodule. FYI, marine depot offers 6 months no interest over $299 with billmelater.

i have had both a MH and CF aquatrders light. the CF is a waste of forty bucks and not only died but killed a few bulbs as well. however i am satasfied with the metall halide. i have the extendable 24-30 250w MH w/t5 and moonlights.
