I just got a used mp40 w ecosmart. When I ramp it up 3/4 of the way plus on any setting after a few minutes it shuts down and flashes red and green. Any ideas? Is there something I need to do or is it a faulty pump? I bought it from a reputable vendor and im sure ill have no problem exchanging it if it is a bad pump.

I had a similar problem with my MP10. I had to take the whole thing apart to find out that there one one piece of algae in it that kept getting caught up. Once I removed it, the problem stopped.
ok ill look at it again. Iv got it on lagoon right now and ramped all the way up. When it gets to full power and slowly goes back down it does fine. When I put it on short burst full power or constant full power it shuts down after a few minutes.
