I'm have a slight acclimation problem. I've had my powderbrown (3.5-4") for a year or so and just attempted to add a Threadfin (Chaetodon auriga) (2+") to the tank to help kill my Aptasia problem. (46 gallon tank)

My tang has been chasing and harassing the other since I dropped it in.

I've never had this problem before and an not sure how long I should let it go on, or if I'm supposed to take the threadfin out.

Is there a rule or a way to make it easier to acclimate?

Sometimes it is helpful to float the new inhabitant in the tank in a clear bag for a few hours to let others see it for a while and also adding new fish at night after lights out can help. I usually also feed right before I add new fish.

Thank you for the tips. I had the Thread in for about 5 min or so and the Tang just kept at him. I didn't want either to get damaged/killed so I took the Thread back to the LFS.
