Have a 40 gallon long refurgium/planted tank ... Have some macro algue and some marine plants . Idea was to have a mantis shrimp and some other marine life at home in a low flow planted tank. This runs off a 90 gallon mixed reef, then into my sump and back to the display.

currently I have t5 -2 x old 10k bulbs, use old bulbs for the red spectrum. I was browsing around on the net and came across the following.... Amazon.com: LEDwholesalers 2501MX Blue/Red 225 LED 13.8 Watt Square Grow Light Panel 110 Volt: Patio, Lawn & Garden.

Alternatively the white and blue unit also looks sexy.. Just worried they are not bright enough .....they advertise this is reef capable, that I find hard to believe. I'm of the opinion anything less than 2-3w led's are just not enough.

My question is would 2 units over the 36" long refurgium tank. work , almost the same price as a couple ati t5 ?

They say the 14 w led unit = 75 W MH ---output of the white is 7000k seems a little over zealous selling of the product...

anyone have experience or some clever insights on the capabilities. for 36 Usd was thinking i should buy one and see how it's works, have a smaller refurgium on another tank mount it over the macro algue and see how it grows,
