If I just remove the molding off of a Oceanic tank do I get a decent looking rimless or is the rim there the cover up slight matchup problems in the production process?

I just removed the trim off my 135 and it was built pretty good, takes a lot of work to get all the silicone off. I removed mine to replace a broken front glass. All the tops of the glass were placed equally and could go rimless if I wanted to. Not sure the brand of the tank.
