Hi, AnthonyB.
Jungle Jim's in Texas City always has those in stock, Patrick says they're very easy to keep. I saw one in FireEater's tank, you might send him a PM as ask his opinion...

Good luck,
Steve

I think the accepted name is now Phymanthus crucifer so you may find a bit more info under that (though in the hobby it is still regularly called Epicystis). I have a few in my tank, quite hardy and pretty.

Have you known anything to host in them?

I have a maroon clown pair that I can't seem to find the right host for. I've tried RBTA, GBTA, tulip, unknown green anemone... Every one of them my female destroyed. Usually by biting the tentacles off.

I've read that they love carpets but I'm not willing to take that chance.

I have two pairs...
Probably 5 GBTA's
One pair has hosted in my torch coral, the other has hosted in my xenia...
Go figure.
