I snorkled Roatan, Honduras two years ago. Very Nice Island off the coast of Honduras. I think it was less than 2 hr plane trip. It has been on a lot of top 10 lists for reef and beaches. I stayed on Half Moon Bay and you walk into reef right off the bank. And you just float above the reef even without a life Jacket. Fun. These are pics of the most western tip of Island, there are ship wrecks and other places.

West Bay Beach:

Roatan was very chill, not a ton of people. It gets kinda busy when Cruise Ships arrive on Wed and Saturdays I think.

My two boys and I at the house we stayed in, there were 7 of us. In Laws spent 3k for the week on just the house, I couldn't believe it. The place on the left was the biggest resturaunt on the Island. I later seen the house on International House Hunters selling for 850k.

This is the reef from the Balcony, the light sandy spots were about 15-20ft deep.
