I've seen many post of reefers having their water tested by Triton. How many of you are actually using the Triton method to manage your tank? If you are following the triton method, what have been your results so far?

Thanks!

I get mine tested every few months 1) just to confirm that what I am testing for and reading on my test kits are accurate, 2) to see if anything I don't currently test for might be way out of whack. Have I acted on any recommendations like adding "X" ml of iodine or boron (or whatever)...no. But if something "strange" starts happening with my tank, I might have a place to start.

My tests have been pretty much in the green so far, so for me, the biggest advantage is the confirmation that I am on the right track.

Like in as James (Webster1234) stated or actually the whole method as no more WC and rely on Triton test only and dosing the elements as you go??

Dosing their products along with their testing. I watched his video from MACNA 2014, he said depending on what needs to be exported a water change may still be needed. My question is for testing and dosing with their products with minimal to no water changes.

I have not tested my water with tryton (I need to) but I do go without water changes. I believe this should only be done with experiencedifferent reefers. Constantly checking and dosing or programing dosers works for me. I would say if I had a larger tank and more room I would do auto water change. My skimmer is rated around 6x the size of my tank plus gfo reactor and fuge. Filtration alone will starve the tank and everything must be tested and dosed. Like I said this works for me keeping parameters stable. Stable chemistry grows corals.

I just sent in my first water sample. I won't be doing the triton method but I'll use their water testing from time to time. I've always been a big fan of water changes and will never stop doing them with a quality salt.
