Ah, finally a day that's a tiny bit cool. Last week I paid a $500 light bill and can't wait for cool weather to stay here awhile! On the way to take my kids to school this morning, I saw regular unleaded gas for $1.93 at the Valero on the Beltway 8 at Genoa-Red Bluff. I've been getting gas there for the past several weeks at $1.99 a gallon, which is such a blessing because we bought a Suburban a few months ago and it drank $110 per fill-up. Now it's only $80. Woot!

Has anyone seen gas lower than $1.93?

Also, is anyone using Amigo or Star-Tex Energy? I jumped from unReliant to Gexa quite some time ago and their rates have steadily increased so I'm ready to jump to another provider. Thank God I didn't get locked into a contract with them! Amigo and Star-Tex offer 6 month price-locked plans at $0.127/kWh and $0.129/kWh, respectively.

Ya but it's sure nice for a couple months at least. And to think I was muttering about $35 dollar fill ups (which are currently $25)

Your right Abe, and then don't forget the regular June July August event of were running out of gas. Gotta hike the prices! Enjoy it while you can! :D

I lost the link to the place that does comparison rates for the different electric companies. If anyone could post it that would be great. I'm with Gexa and have seen the same rate hikes.

$1.89 gas at the Shell and the Valero stations, both located at BW 8 @ Genoa-Red Bluff. :D

I switched to Star Tex power and pay .129 now. :D Buh-bye, Gexa. :D
