Oh dang what type of coral?

I had a random hermit that shredded my pink boobies chalice. [emoji35]

I have 1 aptasia in the back corner of my frag tank inside the egg crate. Almost impossible to get to. I have even contemplated taking pliers and cutting that square out.

It’s just because my tank is small right now. In a larger system, I don’t see that as a problem. They were jumping on my hand for food too. Lol. They start to become very friendly.

They’ll definitely get the aiptasia. :)

Do the molly millers eat hair algae? Would they be ok in the same tank with a lawnmower or would that cause issues?

What time are you going, Jared? I was planning on going on sat. maybe Friday?

As for the peps I doubt they were eating a coral but maybe.

Alex, what size tank do you have? The molly millers do eat hair algae if you don't feed them, but hair algae doesn't have a bunch of nutrients for the fish to survive on so don't do it for too long if you do. Personal I think you need to up you micro crew like pods mini stars and worms. They would probably get along after some debate on dominance. Hope this helps.

Water has been flat for two days and I have not been able to get out there except on Sunday I took my kids to the beach and caught a hummingbird and an onion anemone. I don't have any pictures of the nem. because it buried itself in about five inches of sand and just barely sticks it's tentacles out for now. I really need to fix my phone camera!!

I have a 60 gal cube. Have been struggling with hair algae, I know it’s attributed to my feeding pellets, trying to switch away from them. Been running a reactor with carbon/gfo for several months. I had a healthy pod population until I added 2 leopard wrasses to the tank, they have hunted them down to minimal numbers in the display. I’m sure my Refugium in the sump is growing them fine. Plenty of micro stars in the tank.

Maybe the pellets... but probably just to many. Lots of ways to get rid of it!! You just have to pick a plan and stick to it. What kind of algae in the fuge. do you have?

Have you tried fresh seafood from the store?

If you want to come collecting we could get you some grass shrimp for the wrasse and get you a few species of different pods to help out. Maybe some macro for you fuge?

I have chaeto and some dragons breathe in the fuge, but the chaeto is struggling. The dragons breathe might of died as well, haven’t checked in a while. It was doing great before the algae took over. Got a new clump from another member and it’s also struggling. The bulb is a newish fluorescent bulk that is 5k. I wish I could work out going collecting but Ive been going out of town a lot for work, and my wife would be pissed if I took off to spend more time away from home. I could probably work out driving to someone and picking some stuff up if y’all are able to find anything for me.

Maybe like 8-9ish. The couple that wants to go can only go Friday night I think.

The peps weren't eating the coral, just crawling all over it causing the polyps to close up. It was just because my tank is small and I had 10 in there. lol
