Clear water is back in! I’m going collecting tomorrow night.

Anybody wanna join? Winter is knocking on the door.

My blenny jumped out of the tank. Need another one. :) I may grab a few more Sargent Majors too.

So it’s been 2 weeks since I dosed fluconazole and it is doing wonders. There’s maybe 10% algae remaining from what it was, and my chaeto is starting to look much better with more nutrients becoming available for it. I did a 20% water change today and replaced what meds I removed, hopefully the tank will be algae free in the next couple of weeks. Thanks again for the recommendation, I wish I would of found out about that sooner.

Does anybody know of a few collecting spots near kemah?

I live 2 minutes from Kemah. Just try the boat ramps or anywhere you can access. Once you get away from the ocean, you will not see too much stuff worth taking home.

The boat ramps by the Hilton on Nasa road 1 have at least 20+ blenny now calling it home. Enough to breed and populate the Bay Area.

Not sure who turned all those loose there!!:madgrin:

There’s a small black looking reef fish that I’d love to have about 20 of. I’ve caught a few before. They hang around boat ramps.

I put put one in my tank and it was the coolest fish ever. He hung on the corner of the rock work about mid to bottom area and was really chill and just a tiny great looking fish. Always stayed in the same spot. Will be on a hunt for them soon.

OK, so I’ve looked tirelessly on the net for a picture of that tiny reef fish I’ve caught twice before.

They like boat ramps or wooden dock areas. They hang by structures or up against the sides of boat ramps or pilings.

They closely resemble a tiny butterfly fish. They look just like the pic below, but are tiny, kinda a dark or faded black color, and without the pointed snout. The have a more round nose I believe.

CHRIS, have you seen these are know where to find them or what they are?

Wow that is really cool now I want one. What exact boat ramp did you find that at?

They look more like these. Some are like this, but some are more black or greyish. This is a better picture.

I think this may be a baby racoon. I caught one at the boat ramp I was telling you by the Hilton.

I remember one time when I went to Quintana beach I caught a lot that looked like that but all black with a few white spots, they looked like domino damsels but I never found out what they were.

I think I never talked about this crab I found in the sargassum one time which seems to be some sort of decorator crab because it’s always been putting things from the tank on its self. What do y’all think?
