I got my double pane windows for $299 per window... started saving money on my electric right away.. best investment I’ve made to my home yet! Your return on investment is much quicker than solar! I got zero interest (use their money not yours) and my monthly payment is less than my monthly savings on the electric bill... it was a no brainer!

My house is pretty energy efficient being newer. I recently put solar on my roof. My last bill was $3.

I hate you [emoji2955]

Lol

Actually that is very cool. If we are ever in a position to build a home I have a list of things I want to implement.

How much did it costs to have the solar panel install? Also many many panel do you have installed? I was thinking about it after having the new roof put on.

Did you search around for the best energy provided? That's too much money wasted on an electric bill.

I went with Freedom Solar for the install and they use SunPower panels. I have 39 in all. They weren't the cheapest, but Freedom Solar has been around for 12 years and the warranty on the equipment and install is what sold me on them. The total cost after tax credit was 28k.

My electric bills is around$320. I have two AC units, pool and my son two reef tank. I run my AC at 74 during the day and 76 at night per wife requests. Tank temp stays between 77-78 degrees. I have a 8" fan over the sump to turn on at 78. I mixed the salt water inside the house to keep the heats down a couple of days before a water change.

What help me make my final decision on solar was the cost per month. It's worth it if the cost per month was less than my electrical bill. Either you pay a light bill or if you choose to, a loan on solar panels. Either way, you will have to pay someone for electricity, but with solar after you reach the break even point it's all free energy.

We have dual panel glass but I don’t think it’s filled with gas - our house was built in 2009 I think.

Only 4 months the bill is in the $300 range-other months $100-150

If your electric bill was $233 a month it would take you 10yrs to break even

My tanks are in my office and the air shuts off from about 10pm to 5am.... tanks swing from 78 - 82. Everyone is happy though.
