I use redsea pro... not really sure why.
I also use Red Sea, just not Pro since I need lower Alk. I use it because it mixes up quickly and well without being over the top pricy like Tropic Marin but still decent quality. I don't do many water changes, just cleanings, so I like to just be able to mix a bucket real quick and use it 30 mins later.I use redsea pro... not really sure why.
Good stuffI use Tropic Marin Pro
They have cool buckets too+1 Tropic Marin Pro. I like the ease and quickness in how it mixes up. It doesn't leave precipitates like many of the other salts do and mixes up super clear and really fast. I also like the ranges of Alk, Ca, and Magnesium it has. It's nice not to have to dose after a water change. I had trouble with Red Sea Pro mixing with inconsistent results. Calcium and Magnesium would vary significantly from batch to batch from the same bucket even after shaking the bag to mix up the salt. Could've been just my bad luck though. No issues with Tropic Marin Pro. I know a lot folks dog how "expensive" it is. Another MARSHian made a statement a while back to the affect of that we spend A LOT of money on our fish and corals, why wouldn't we spend a little bit more on the foundation of our reefs. Totally agree. TM is worth it to me at least.
31 years ago. Please disclose your age sir.Reef Crystals - it seems to work well, it's affordable, and I started with Instant Ocean 31 years ago and it's just easier to keep doing the same thing.
I was 25 when I got my first SW tank. I'll let you do the math.31 years ago. Please disclose your age sir.
Seriously. I won a bucket of their stuff once from FJW and I absolutely love their buckets! I use Reef Crystals but if I don’t use a whole bag (I buy the boxes with four bags inside) it goes into my Salinity bucket. Screws on air tight. It’s worth buying a bucket of their salt just to get the dang bucket! Haha+1 Salinity.... they have cool buckets.
I wish local stores sold it. I’d rather buy from them than Amazon but I don’t know who offers it.Instant Ocean (either one)
Cheapest and best salt out there.
He uses Red Sea.I’m definitely interested in this thread. I’m just starting out and am completely lost. I had a reef tank many years ago, but I did a lot of stuff wrong. Was not very successful. Mike at ADG is going to fill my tank for me on the first fill so I guess I’m getting whatever he uses. lol!
