So i am thinking of setting up a 1 gal nano. It is a plastic bow front and would look great set up. For this, what kind of filtration would i use? What about circulation? How would this work? Thanks.

I'd check into the aqua clear mini hob filter. It would give you plenty of circulation.
Use LR for the biological filtration and use the media chamber in the AC as a fuge. You could add chemical media as needed.
Keep up with the daily water topoff and weekly water changes to cover the rest.

actually a 1 gallon tank is probably the most difficult tank that i've ever attempted. Assuming that you are not plumbing it to the main system that is.
Temperature swings, evaporation and water changes were so rough on the corals, not to mention providing soft gentle flow to your corals was incredibly difficult. It's worth a shot, but a 2.5 gallon nano or above is much much easier to maintain. Not that the corals didn't survive, just never looked happy.

i second that. less than 2.5 is cool but a pain in the butt. unless you plumb it into your main tank, much easier. i constantly monitor my 2.5, constantly...

ac mini filters are good but i looked at a cascade the other day and i like it more. less DIY to be done. Im using the red sea HOB filter for my .75 gallon pico
