Its a type of macroalgae called neomeris annulata. Most likely it won't last too long.

Thanks for the ID, that stuff pops up all over my pico all the time for some reason and I had no idea what it was.

Update on the bio pellets. The bacteria is growing inside my plumbing and on the walls I the overflow. Basically anywhere with lots of flow. And my yellow tank loves it! If I turn off my wain pump then turn it back on, the flow loosens the bacteria and pushes it into the main tank where a few of my wish go nuts for it. Also my skimmer is producing skimmate at a ridiculous rate. I'm having a hard time getting dry skimmate because there seems to be twice as much bubbles then before the bio pellets.

Here is a picture of the white bacteria from the biopellets? I've noticed it grows mostly inside the plumbing where there is high flow.

Here is a video of some worms (?) eating the bacteria.

If you dose right with the Bio Pellets you really don't need a Refugium any more. There will be not enough Soluble Reactive Phosphates (SRP's) in your water column.
That Algea looks sweet btw.

Algae growth in the main tank is virtually non-existent. Nothing grows on the glass anymore. But the cheato in the refugium is growing very well. I think it's time to prune it.

Do you have the output of the biopellet reactor close to your skimmer intake? I think I heard somewhere that it's a good idea to plumb it that way so your skimmer pulls in as much as it can. Just wondering if that's true.

Yes, the output of the reactor goes through the UV then into the skimmer.

OK cool. I'm so undecided on the route I want to take with my new build. Go GAC & GFO reactors or GAC & Biopellet reactors. Or all three! I'm running GAC & GFO now and it works for me but a part of me wants to try a biopellet also for something new.
