Man, Robert put up those pics fast. Thanks guys, really happy with the new tank. Funny part is all that coral is from my old tank- got the frag rack in the sump fairly full too. Didn't realize how stuffed that had become- looking forward to letting these grow out.
That one island- the GSP rock has been the "sleeper" for me with these leds. That picture doesn't even do it justice- the green on the gsp glows like crazy under the royal blues. I had just planned on keeping both those corals on an island so they didn't spread like crazy (wasnt' excited at all with either), but this is going to make a cool looking "tree" with the blue base and green top. I used nylon thread to make the rock column and staggered the gsp frags to allow them to grow over the entire top portion. The blue, snowflake xenia I am going to arrange to cover the base rock making a blue foundation.
The ric and acan islands will also grow into a great grouping. I kept a bunch of acans real close in my other tank and they make a great mound of color when they start overgrowing each other. This one has 15 different acans, none of which are duplicates.
Fish are next- have a nice grouping on order with RocknReef including a bellus angel, blonde naso and various fairy wrasses (red head solon, blue side, pink margin and a mckoskers flasher)

Hey Jeff, I love that picture of the Tube Anemone! Would you mind if I steal it to post on my website?

Thanks guys- always a work in progress. I finally found out what was nipping on my acan hillae, nice rainbow acan and now bleeding apple scoly- my bi-color blenny! I feed my tank a few times a day with an auto-feeder so shouldn't be a hunger issue. Keep dumping my nice lps in the frag tank/sump while I try to catch the bugger. Man it is a bitch to catch small fish in a heavy reef tank. Will probably have accidental frags by the time I am done. PITA has expensive taste.

Oh man that isn't good! You need to have a net party and have a bunch of people bring their nets over to corner the little bugger. LOL

Thanks for the "after" pics Robert. Cool part of the acan rock is that most of that is growth, did add 4 pieces to the periphery but they have all filled in well. Now for that SPS to get going... Got a ledge of chalices working which will also look awesome once grown in. Now they are the baby fingernail frags(emerald mummy eye, miami hurricane and other crazy $ per eye stuff).

That acan rock is making my mouth water. Do they have enough room to grow out on that though? I haven't ever had any so don't know how that'll work as they mature.

Some of those are actually relatively mature with 30+ heads on them. The scale is a little hard to tell but the whole rock is well over a foot diameter so there is a lot of room. Acans are not very friendly with other corals but very friendly with each other (lords to lords, don't throw an echinata in there) so the goal is to have the entire surface area touching. Want the whole rock to be a puffy mass of color. Once that happens, and some are having light issues, I will give them all a haircut with the bandsaw or remove any of my less favorite to let the others take over. Right now I have 19 different types on there. In a couple of years I will hopefully have that "problem" with the whole tank.
