Phillipe from Finaddict is coming out to move my tank tomorrow due to a flood (the water heater thank god) the flooring company is coming out to put new laminate down. So I figured I'd get rid of the old nasty stand it's on.

So here is what I was thinking..
2x6 bracing in the front but doubled up so I don't have to put a cross brace in up front for access. Then 2x4 in the back with braces. problem I have now is the fuge is wedged into the bottom of the current stand and I barely have room to work under there. I'd love to be able build a stand I can really work on. do you guys think this is do able with a 24x72 tank? I plan on making the fram 25x73

i tank to a carpenter freind of mine. he told me 2x6 r not rated at the same braking point as 2x4 s . for my 180 he advised me to use 2x4 and fame it on 12 in centers for the top and bottom and 16 in centers on the sides with a few removable ones to get the equipment in and out
