i just set up a 2.3g pico. measures 9l x 8.5w x 7.5 h . i just put live rock rubble in the back and blue sponge filter with a return i pulled off a whisper filter ( only filter i could find that would fit in the back part of the tank) also have 7 snails in it . just posting to get ideas of what to put in it.. current lighting is a 7w led desk light. i was thinking about just putting a whole bunch of zoas so it could fill up the whole tank. and maybe 1 fish or a fire shrimp. any suggestions?

Good start so far. I like the zoa idea personally. Take a look at Karlo's zoa garden in December's Tank of the Month profile for some inspiration.

Mini Coralife PC is about all I can think of in that size, they have dual 9W bulbs. You could build something like Karlo did with the 70W MH. .

nah no sand. i think sand would take up space in it since its already small. i thought about the viper but i think it would lose too much water from it and heat it up. i was thinking about buying a small led fixture for it , since it wouldnt make much heat .

i also added a bit of color to my tank today. check it out

i wouldn't do a harlequin. they require sea stars to eat obviously and the star might be too big for your setup and the shrimp might not eat it all immediately, but might just sever a leg and let it crawl around for a little while.

get a pom pom crab. very cool little crabs.
