Saw Avengers 3 times already.

And took the kiddos to see Battleship. Went in with low expectations and came out with 8 thumbs up. It was very entertaining especially if you have history with the military in any way. Both movies worth spending the outrageous cost of admission and $5 bottles of water.

Saw both this weekend. Given the normal caliber of movies I have to say I was very impressed, especially with Avengers.

Ok, Ok, you're are about the 3 millionth person that's said these were good. I had no intention of seeing these but with the overwhelming "thumbs up" for these movies, I'll go and see them.

Avengers was great! But I liked the Captain America movie best. Even though The Avengers was a superior movie.

Just FYI if you're into waiting through the credits for those extra movie clips, there's one at the very end of Battleship, and 2 during the credits of Avengers

One for Battleship? I didn't bother to wait on that one, but the one after Avengers was very cool. Cat, are you saying there was another one after the "smile"???

Yup, first movie I've seen 2 in. Not important at all but kinda humorous. The one after battleship was definitely a plug for a sequel, worth watching through the credits for.

Unfortunately, Battleship looks like it'll be a big money loser so any talk of a sequel is probably gone now. I think Avengers sucked all the potential away from any new movies opening during its run. Johnny Depp's vampire movie bombed as well.

I hope this is a belated April's fool joke. Avengers was straight garbage. Just a typical let's throw in a weak plot, bunch of guys in costume, and the year 2545 technology in a form of see thru touch screen computer movie. Anyone with a toilet brush for a brain will find this movie a C- at best. Took my friend's kids to see it and all 3 of them said it stunk.

Weak plot + chitty action + lame jokes = Movies for children with an IQ below 10 or the easily amused.

LoL. To each his own. I'm sure if you went into the movie wanting some Shawshank Redemption caliber plot and acting, yes, you would have been disappointed. And I'd have those 3 kids checked out. I can't imagine any child under 18 that wouldn't enjoy that type of fun entertainment.

I would comment but apparently I have to go stick my head in the toilet first. Awesome movie, popcorn cinema at it's finest. Also can't see how any kid wouldn't like it and if so it is going to be a life full of disappointing movies. Battleship was ehhh, my 16 and 12 year old liked it.

Weak sauce plot, supar acting, little character development, peppered with atrocious one liners tantamount to a lousy movie. Anyone possessed an intelligence greater than of an amoeba finds this film average at best. Not that amoeba have any brain cells to begin with, but I digress. Fine taste is acquired, not naturally endowed.

First of all, I'm not the one here talking condescendingly to other people. While I respect your objectivity, I do not see a reason to insult other people in the process. There are better ways to get your point across. You don't have to put other people down to do so.

Blockbuster Summer action movies are typically not the ones you go to see great acting.

I suppose every single summer there are "blockbusters" and "awesome" movies abound. Such words should be reserved for something extraordinary, not the child like reels Hollywood spew out just for the sake of making money.
