Are there any fish in the tank yet? If not I would probably add one or 2 and make sure the rock is adequate enough now to suppress any ammonia spikes before adding any coral. At least anything expensive anyway.

No, no fish. I have a clown in QT that has ICK and im currently treating him with some cupramine. I dont like to put any fish in the tank before quarantining I had a bad experience. I know there are some strong disease resistant fish like grammas bu i still worry that I will get it in the tank....

I would hold off until the diatoms clear up. Let the snails clean it up and then add slowly one at a time. Patience is key

THAT'S the kind of aquascaping that I like to see. Looks natural, not like just a wall of rocks. Well done! That cap is going to dominate that part of the tank before you know it so if it were my tank I would isolate that puppy to a place that it wont overshadow its neighbors. I cant wait to see this tank grown out. Gorgeous! And the Illuminatas are the sexiest tanks out there IMO!

WOW! Thanks man I really appreciate it! After just being in the hobby for about two years I learned a lot on my first tank on aquascaping. Maybe I ought to consider it a side job  Anyway ill take the advice to the monti. Just got him not to long ago and he was under T5s so im letting him get used to the MH. Thanks again Jason!

Looks good Matt! I'd love to fill this up for you. Lol I'm gonna start looking for some more purples and yellows for this build.

Thanks Gabe! Im just glad we ended up not bringing the checkbook! It could have got dangerous real quick. Everything is doing great and the yellow jacket zoas are soaking up the halide nicely! Thanks again!

matt, looks great

how are your rocks secured together? i am just thinking, that as the corals grow, they may over weigh the top portions of the rocks

also, if you need some purple, come get some purple cap, ... grows in quick!

Don ain't kidding.

I picked up a purple cap from him during the fall frag swap. I threw it in my tank and forgot about it. Now it encrusted the area i left it and its starting to grow out. No glue/epoxy required lol.
