There is one part of the skeleton that the coral either can't get its flesh around, or it is too much effort. It doesn't seem to be hurting anything, but it doesn't look as pretty. I was thinking about trying to trim that one spot with bone cutters, but wondered if anyone can think of any problem with doing that. Of course I would do it at night when the polyp was contracted and exposing more of the skeleton.

There is plenty of flesh overall, it just doesn't make it over that one spot.

Shouldn't be a problem, I've done that before. Just be careful to cut the skeleton only, not the flesh.
