This is the drop-in tray from a first-gen Reef Gently AccliMate XL. It only has circulation holes in the bottom. I want to use it as an acclimation box, but I'm not sure if it has enough circulation.

I have it wedged in the corner of the tank, held in place by two magnet-type glass cleaners. A Vortech MP10 is directly under it.

Just by watching real closely at the suspended particles in the water, I can see a little bit of circulation. I'm assuming that once there's a fish inside it, there will be enough circulation. What does everyone think?

Should I risk damaging my AccliMate by drilling more holes?

Btw, it's an 8x8x8in box and I plan to use with a dwarf angel.
