Where do you guys in houston go to get your acrylic for DIY projects? I am making a hang on back refugium and need some 1/4 inch acrylic, but the place down the street was going to charge me 130$ for the amount that i needed, which i know is WAY over priced, it should be more around 40.

Uh, I may pay too much, but it's usually around $3 a square foot for the 1/4" Acrylite FF that I usually use. I get it at Professional Plastics on the beltway.

Do they charge much to cutt it, and where at on the beltway?

Try Regal Plastics (yellow pages), you can buy scrap for 75 cents a pound.

I normally just get it ripped into manageable sizes (which doesnt cost anything, think 3'x4' pieces) and then cut it myself. It's easy enough to do with a table saw and $8 plastics blade.

It's on the beltway south near 288, if memory serves. www.professionalplastics.com or something like that.
