I have been lurking in the background for over a year reading and enjoying the posts on this site. I decided the least I should do is pay for the membership, so I did a couple of days ago.
I will be picking up a 215 gallon tank and stand next week and will need help moving it. I am recovering from back and disc replacement surgery and I am limited to 10 pounds of lifting for a while. I will pay for the Beer and feed anyone who would like to help. I am in Sugar Land and so is the tank. So, it should not be a long day.
I also need advice what kind of lighting and how many lights to install in the canopy. I am thinking of LED's and would like to know how many and where is the best local location to buy them and other items for the tank. The tank will start out as a Marine and Coral. I want the system popped in very well (6 mos or so) before I start a reef. Budget is important to me (more so to the wife.....). I have a new pump on order now for the tank. I will rebuild the original pump and keep it as a backup or sell it later. I see the next important decision is the lights.
Today's project is to remove the corals from my other tanks and start cleaning it for the new tank........, got to get to work.
Thanks for any advice!
