I used to have an A/C company. I'll pm you my number. Call me and I'll give you some pointers. Too many questions to ask back and forth.

You have a clog in your A/C drain line. That drain line Is usually next to the p trap under one of your sinks. Probably a sink under your unit. That outside drip is a backup. Not an expert, seen it more than once.

Let me guess? You didn't cover the drain? or you didn't put a pan under the sink to catch the water? Do tell...

I had to replace the pee trap in my main drain just a few weeks ago. It was clogged and caused the same issue you are having. I also replaced the vinyl overflow line with a PVC pipe. Buy me a beer and I can fix it for ya sometime this week.

Thanks for the offer chris but I'm good to go now! James (webster123) walked me thru it! I am so very thankful for members like that! Turns out my main drain from my coil was clogged and the emergency overflow was draining into the pan. So I discontented it at the p-trap and blew it out... water is flowing now and we all know flow is most important!! Thanks everyone exspecialy James for taking my 4+ calls!

I flush the drains with bleach every year as clogs tend to be algae
it was clogged at the entrance to the overflow drain...I would have to open the unit to get in there. If it was clogged after the vent then I could pour it down the vent. But I'm not too sure I should open up the coils with my experience.

Yep I forgot to do this last year! Something else I have to get done. Though someone else has to do the attic part too hot and too clostropic.
