Hi, I recently ordered a sample of a new product call Algone which is supposed to help get rid of Algae in Fresh or Salt water tanks and claims that it is safe for all corals. I wanted to find out if anyone has tried this product and what kind of results did you have.

I have a 135 reef tank. Thanks 8O

It's not new. Been around for a few years. I've never used it before though.

I have more on the side of it not working.

I started using Marine S.A.T. about 2 weeks ago. I have heard that this stuff works great. It is 100% live bacteria with no chemicals. It out competes the hair algae for nutrients causing it to die off.

It is made by TLC Aquarium and Pond Products. I picked up a 32 ounce bottle for 24.99 at Tropical Fish Depot.

With me I did a search at a couple other boards, found the product most people like and went with it. If it works great, if not I move on. I also have a foxface rabbitfish that is doing a great job.

BTW, Welcome to the board!
