Am I going color blind, or am I just a sucker? (1 Viewer)

I did the unthinkable.....I cheaped my way into some MH. I found a guy on the Net selling 20K 250watt SE for $40/bulb, $8-flat shipping rate, up to 10 bulbs i think.......

Anywho, I've got them in now and I'm dissappointed. They look white, and that is because I have 2 Actinics PCs on there as well. Would this occur because I started the bulbs out on 2 2-hour increments each day and slowly got them to burn 8 hours/day? Should they get more blue over time?

I'm lost and I'm feeling kinda like a sucker. Although, the monti and acros that I got from the frag swap are all kicking butt. Oh, brother.

It's my understanding that the 20K MH's have about a 100 hour burn-in time before they reach their blue color. I got mine used, so they have always looked blueish albeit overused and weak.....LOL. I just ordered new bulbs, so I should get them in a few days

I've burned them for them for about 60 hours total, I would say, only 3 days in a row at more than 3 hours at a time.....so 3 straight days of 8 hour lighting

My math is terrible, but wouldn't three days of 8 hours equal 24 hours? Maybe I missed something. You say you've burned them for 60 hours already? I would say, on average, give it a couple of weeks of daily use, and you'll start to notice the blue
