I have a 150 gal tank which I've been running for 2 months. I have 4 clownfish and added 2 anemones to the tank.
The next day the anemones retreated into the rocks and have not really come out. I was told to wait and they'd come out on their own. However, I also have a cardinal fish that apparently wandered too close to the bubble tip anemones and was apparently stung. Then the anemone came out, snatched the stung fish, and retreated to the rocks with its meal.
I'm concerned about the anemones killing more of the more expensive fish in the tank. Can I expect more carnage or is this rare?
