I have a Long Tenticle Anemone, and my somewhat new Urchin has worked it's way under half the anemone down the side of a rock.

Will the spikes harm the Anemone? Doesn't seem to be so far, but I'm afraid the False Percula is going to jab into one of the spines. And he's been there all day. orange, black, white Tripneustes Gratilla Urchin

You can barely see him here:

Not sure on the urchin, but that LTA will need more sand to be happy. does it move a lot? Have you had it long?

It never moves, It came with the tank. tank was set-up for atleast a year before I got it.

I moved a couple of the smaller rocks out of the urchins way, hopefully it moves soon.

Just pick the urchin up and move it to the other side of the tank. Problem solved.

hahaha! I wish it was that easy. It doesn't like to let go and his spikes don't feel to great. He picked up and was cruising around with my watermelon zoas frag (size of a Hotwheel car) earlier and I had to wrestle it off.

That's why I don't like urchins. They're clumsy and when they're not picking stuff up, they're knocking stuff over.

Worry not. Your nem should move if it is in danger. I'm always surprised by how fast mine can close up.

Urchin moved after I moved the rocks out of it's way, LTA is fine. Neighbor brought over the Urchin, got him cheap. Not something I would've went to LFS and picked up, he is cool when he is staying still.
