Fox was there doing a story on tattood "I Love You" fish. I Love City Pets. This really is crossing the line IMO.

Man City Pet is always gettin knocked on for the littlest crap.
Its not like CP did the actual tattooing. The fish are simply shipped to them the way they appear. No more, no less. And its not like parrots were the first fish tattooed. Anyone see the tattooed Koi and tattooed Giant Gourami?
If anyone really wants to fuss and cuss, Fish R Us sells tattooed parrotfish as well as the tattooed Giant Gourami but do you see anyone chasing after them and putting them on the news?
In all honestly there aint nothin you can do about fish like this. They get sent out of Asia or wherever they come from as you and I see them. You can boycott all you want, but the distributor will simply have someone else with less inhibitions to buy them.
Just like that Blue Tortifolia at the LFS, if you dont buy it, someone else will.

I couldn't find it on their website. I was just offering my opinion of the issue, no need to launch into a diatribe Chris.
The fish community goes into an uproar about dying corals, this is on the same plane. It is just something I am not comfortable with and will not support, regardless of excuses or justification. I'm not knocking City for trying to make a sale, I just question at what cost.

Not to defend the shop, but some consumers were asking for them. We try our best to help customers acheive their goals. I understand the issue with why some people might not like it, but these fish are pets. You could consider it like the glo fish. We don't know exactly how the process is, but there are no reports that these fish are being harmed. No need to get mad over this. The only reason why the story came about because the tattoo fish came on national news, and channel eleven wanted to follow up on something similar to it.

I dont care for the tattooed fish myself, so I simply wont buy them. If that market shrinks, theyll stop carrying them. Problem solved and everyone is happy. I support City Pets because theyve always been a great store (excellent service and prices) and theyll have my business until that changes.

Eh think about it like this half the people in Houston just saw City Pets on the news thats great advertisement

Like Donnie said the only reason they did a story on it was because someone else did (i saw it on cnn a few days back) so they wanted to run with that.
I dont think anyone could blame city pets they dident do it.
