I have everything mounted in my stand with the display mounted on the wall next to the tank.

Thanks Mark. I was asking because I saw it said not to expose it to water. So trying to judge how much exposure the stand mounting would have considering my sump takes up my whole stand.

It is electronics and there are exposed connections so you do have to be careful. My last Apex unit was a little over a year old and I did start to see some rusting on it. I'd bet those of us with them in our stands will need to replace parts after 2-3 years. Maybe longer. I tried to keep my components as far away from the sump as possible on this last build. We will see how it goes. :D

I didnt have room in my stand without making accessibility an issue getting to reactors and the skimmer so I mounted mine in a little storage cabinet that sits next to the tank which also holds my ATO, all my 2part, misc supplies ect.
