Aquatic World on Jones (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know if they are shutting down? I was in there Wed and the saltwater side was quite bare. I don't want to bash, but there store was never all that impressive.

Still no good stores in the Cypress/NW area. The closest two stores I trust are TnT and Fishland. That is quite a hike for me. Any stores I am missing?

Far as I know NW/N is almost a dead zone for SW....

Petco,Fish-R-Us & B&B Fish & Pet are about the only ones
I know of out here.

B&B is on Fm 1960... N side, roughly 1/2 way between 290 & 249.

last time i checked, fish-r-us is basically fw. has alot of oriental made equipment(knock-offs of other brands). it is located i believe at eldridge and fm 529.

b&b is between jones and 249 on 1960. they close early(6 or 6:30)

I hate going to aquatic world. They have the worst service. I got into it with them not too long ago because the guys were lazy. Then I had an issue before with the other worker as he gave me an attitude. I never had any problems with any other fish stores. Maybe someone will buy them out who knows how to run a business. I've heard similiar stories of other hobbysts.

The guy at B&B is very nice. I wish they had a bigger selection. Prices are good though.

Justin, you must be thinking of another store.

There is also a store on HWY 249 about a mile south of Beltway 8. It is in the shopping center where the batting cages use to be. BMAK likes to go there.

yeah, i think the name is fish-r-us. the store used to be on the westside, close to fishland area. he then move to 529/eldridge. i wasnt impressed.

i thought the one one 529 is fish r fun. i am not sure yet but that store is almost all fw b.b. is ok right after they get a shipment. and aquatic world on jones is good right after a shipment but there service sucks. unless you know the guy or go there alot. but that is about it. and also aquarium world on 290 but there prices are pretty high but there service is good.

wazzel let me know when you are wanting to go to a fish store and we can go together if you want to save some on gas my 2 favorite stores right now are tandt fish and reptile and city pets. i use to go to fishland but havent been there in awhile. seems like they have the same stuff over and over. but pretty good prices.

Fish R Us is on 242 east of 45, They have a large saltwater section in the back, freshwater is the front section. Very helpful staff.

There is B&B gets fresh fish supply every saturday and sell a lot of fish. They do not sell any SPS but do have softies and LPS.

Aquatic World is on jones rd between west and 290 it has no sps and a few lps and softies and a few fish.

Slim pickins on the NW side, I got to city pets and TnT both easily accessed from the beltway.

Will do Shawn. I find Fishland has better looking fiah and a better selection on the Fish side. T&T is better for SPS. I am possibly going down this Saturday. I'll let you know.
