My better half went there today and innocently asked if they gave a MARSH discount (she was unaware of who the sponsors were) and they gave her a discount. They had 20lb bags of live sand on sale for $21 and she bought some frozen mysis. That's the best service we've ever had from them. Don't know if it's a one time deal, but I was impressed.

Your better half was very lucky. I've been there once. And it was the last. I have nothing nice to say about them, so I wont say anything.

I think their service is improving. I was in there the other day, and the guy behind the counter actually wasn't watching TV and answered my question.

I used to stop there in the past and their service seemed to be ok for me. I don't frequent them anymore since they don't have good collections of corals, esp. sps, as the stores in the Southwest side. They do have a nice variety of marine/ fresh water fishes and koi.
Their price may be a little higher than the SW stores, but that's because they have 7 days guanrantee on their live stocks. That's probably why I saw them rejecting selling fishes to a newbie who wanted to buy a 30gal tank and a $90 emperor angel at the same time, and wanted to set the tk up w/ the fish in that day

I'm hoping this is a sign of better customer service. Like for y'all in the past it has been terrible. I plan on using Aquatic Center to stock our tank once it's cycled, but for last minute stuff Aquatic World is only 5 minutes from our place.

Aquatic world doesn't have a 7 day guarantee. Aquarium world does.
