update!!!

the tank is running and cycling!!! i had to change a few things. closed loop now is just a PVC T so no switching but good flow! The lighting i went for was a 150 DE MH due to the size over the tank. the light is a bit bright but i think it will work. my main problem now is lunar lighting. im using t5's from current system and im going to mount them under the trim angled towards the center. it will either look great 2 blue lines on the side. ill get pictures as soon as the camera is found

and got the topoff installed too

no one uses them since they have been identified as nutrient sinks. i must say however that i know of several systems that have been in operation for long periods of time (10+ years) that use bioballs. the main theme here is that unless they are regular taken care of (i.e. cleaned and rinsed to remove excess nutrients) they can screw up your system. since not everyone has that type of dedication they have been labeled as a no no.

I just did my first dosing of Ca, Mg, and Alk with the BulkReefSupply.com two gallon recipe one kit.
Im just dosing with a syringe since the tank is so little. I'll be getting the levels up for now in preparations for harder corals and a Green Crocea! <- Like Electric Freakin' Green

So did the math main+sump=16Gallons!

I like the green carpet.

First, find out the consumption rate for your tank when it comes to Alkalinity and Calcium. For now, just monitor the Alkalinity because it's the most critical. Calcium and Magnesium can be adjusted later on slowly.

Since your tank is only 16/g…take it easy when it comes to dosing.

PICS of the new clown!!!

So some of these are from outside the tank and theres some algea on the glass but the ones inside were pretty close. Its my Roomates camera so didnt know / want to change the settings but this should give you some size comparisons and again my anemone decided to move.
The Galaxia looks alot better the color looks washed due to t5 blues that were the only fixtures on. The 150MH deff has made the galaxia go crazy! im finding all these little polyps pop up everywhere on the frag

so apparently the camera im using has a pretty good macro setting ill have to mess with
