I thought I had asked this once before, but now I can't find the thread to bump it, so I'm going to politely ask again:

Does anyone know of a great big field, preferrably with few to no trees, around the area? Anywhere within a decent drive (say within 100 miles of SE Houston)? Oh, and public access would be nice, unless you own it and I can talk to you directly.

My kids are into model rocketry (yes, it's my fault). Where I grew up, there were lots of farms around me, and I could find a number of places to light one up....

You're welcome to come out to our farm if you want. I used to launch rockets when I was younger too. Haven't done that in forever. I know I launched one with a D engines once and I lost sight of it until I saw it's streamer coming down....was crazy.
