OK guys!! I got Kevin (Reefalot) to custom make me a new Biophos mini reactor. Its the same concept as Alexanders as the media needs to be in contact with the low PH effluent of the Ca reactor. Kevin did an outstanding job and I was truly impressed once again. He made the original PH Probe Holder. In these pics, I will show you the old probe holder and now the new one. The chamber is the size of a coke can, but I only needed a handful of media for my size tank. Enjoy!!

Maybe I should explain what it is I am doing.

I added Biophos 3 which is an Al P04 Absorber. Choosing the Aluminum over the Iron is less of a risk for the Aluminum to leach out ONLY if you use it in the method I did. The Biophos 3 will leach Al if the PH of the water is above 8.3 per Thomas Pohl and Alexanders Girz's experience. Thats the reason why putting this media from the effluent of my Ca Reactor is more effective. It will soak up any PO4 coming from the Ca Reactor, if any. This media should not be in contact with the main aquarium water. The particles are also larger in size compared to Fe absorbers eliminating a more powdery media that can flow out into the tank.

Its also very slow flow which helps any dust or detritus to accumulate at the bottom of this new mini reactor instead of it going into the main tank. A monthly cleaning should be scheduled by wiping/siphoning out the bottom when replacing the Biophos media.
