I am wantng to build my own led fixture and I am haveing trouble picking a brand. I have heard good and bad thimgs about Briggelux and cree led. Will I get the same color out of both brands? Do bridgelux make a 10k led? I have heard they dont. Also what ratio do I need with the blue and whites. Also is there any other brands that are good to use?

Imo Cree is the best and that is basically a fact no one else can make leds more efficient and consistent as Cree some folks like bridgelux I'm just not one of them. And I make led fixtures. Phillips make a great cyan osram is known fir their 660nm deep reds. Ture violet is really the only custom led that I'll mess with because they were just very hard find until recently.

Also v don't 10k whites, stick with 6500k at most and use rb and other colors to mix your color temp

Am currently running 14 cree fixtures for about 3 months now. Some sps love them and responded well, others not as much so far a mixed bag. If you live on the north side your welcome to check them out

I have 2 fixtures with bridgelux and the lighting appears weak compared to a strip of Crees i have. If price is not an issue, definitely go with Crees. BL does make 10k leds.
