Can you actualy have to many bubbles in your tank. I have a air stone in my skimmer and its blowing a good amount of bubbles in my tank it looks cool and the fish seems to like it but could this be bad?

Well it's more than a few. I didnt think it would be much harm at all I just wanted to make sure it is somwhat of a scary thing to see because it looks unnatural: but then again a reef on the 3rd story of my apartment isn't so natural either eh?

it just detracts from the look of the tank, that's ALL. it's all a matter of taste, i suppose. perhaps people like to think that their tanks are crystal clear or want to preserve an illusion that their inhabitants are floating. whatever the reason, bubbles won't harm anything - even if you put an airstone in the tank, itself. Pretty much the only thing that doesn't do well when exposed to air is a sponge. but you would have to take it out of the water for any damage to be done.

Actually if you go diving or snorkeling on a reef the water is full of bubbles, and floating bits of stuff. It's not nearly as bubble-free as what most hobbyists prefer.
