So I have held off for years on getting one but I think I should. So I am open for comments, suggestions, personal experience, and any specific models or manufacturers to avoid (based on experience I hope) so if you have or have used one, I would appreciate some feedback. I am on a budget so to speak, but I realize these things aren't cheap.

If you're on a budget talk to Cody on here.
He build one him self for $50 i believe and it's breaking records.

I myself use the GEO618 and I can't stop my SPS from growing, which is good as they will end up again in the CaRx.

I have two at the moment. Using the Deltec PF-609 which I took off my 260g and now using on my 60g. I also have an older PM rated for 220g reactor that is collecting dust. Start slow like 10 drops per second effluent and 1 bubble per second on the co2. I would say spend the money on the carbon doser regulator which can be used to easily set your bubble per second. They are pricey though. If you want to go with a regular regulator and bubble counter make sure you use mineral oil in the bubble counter instead of water. Much easier to get an accurate bubble count. Test every day till you get your reactor dialed in and at the beginning only make one small adjustment a day so you dont overshoot.

So I am not heavily stocked at all right now, a lot of softies, very few sps, and a few fish. I think I will upgrade my sump, and plumbing first, then get a reactor. I will, in time, I hope, to see some of your set ups for reactors and then get on it. Thanks for the tips.
