My son's Nano got toasted a few months ago, and while it plays and the computer sees everything on its hard drive (flash drive, whatever), the screen is cracked. The light comes on but the picture is just straight vertical lines.
I felt badly for him and bought him another one, and now would like to know if there's some way for me to place the new screen, faceplate and clickwheel on his old one (the back was inscribed for him so I'd like to keep that).
I don't have the nerve to take it apart myself without knowing if it can be done, so has anyone actually done this or know if it can be done?
Thanks.
Oh yeah, this time I also bought him an aircraft-grade aluminum case.
