They are LPS. Tenicals usually come out at night and aren't to long. They like to eat. 
We haven't had any problems with ours they are pretty easy good growers. You don't have to feed them regularly they like to eat though. They haven't been bothered by the high to moderate flow in our tank and do well under the mh's as well as atanics and so forth.
I don't think I would place them up and center under MH's though.
