Hello All,

I ordered some 36" VHO bulbs (95 watt) and some three piece german end sockets to go with my work horse 7 ballasts. I plan on running them in a hanging canopy above my frag grow-out tank. I don't expect delivery of the bulbs and sockets until middle to late next week. I was trying to get a jump start on the canopy this weekend, but I don't know what the length of the bulb/socket combination will be. Anybody out there venture to guess the needed inside length dimension for the system I described?

I appreciate any information that you mught be able to provide.

Thanks,
Trey

38 inches should give you enough room to place the bulbs in the canopy and still have around a half inch of play. I find that if I add 1.5 inches on to the bulb length that is what the length will be with the endcaps on. Not sure if it is 100% accurate but it hasn't failed me thus far.
