I think it's pretty annoying that we can't edit our own posts.

lmao I'm not going to pay to edit my posts. This is the first forum I've ever joined where you have to be a paid member to edit your own posts. That's ridiculous.

We as a group (as in paid members) like that about the new forum. Since we are the ones who actually pay for everything MARSH related (including the new website upgrade) we have a voice in what happens here.

It is important to the paid members (including myself) to encourage new membership and by adding benefits to being a members it acts as an incentive. There are TONS of other incentives for joining and being a member this is just one of them.

There isnt a right up about the benefits which are included. I will pm some of the BOD/MOD and ask them to come up with something which would be included on the MARSH Membership page.

I will list some of the benefits you would enjoy...

Able to edit your posts.
Able to list items for sale in both the open forum and the private members forum.
More access to other areas of the site. (private members forum and group buys forums)
Able to participate in group buys where you get whole sale or better prices.
FREE admission to the MARSH sponsored events such as the up coming Moody Gardens Back Stage Tour for you and your family based on type of membership.

These are just some of the few benefits, I cant think of them all. But, every month we have an event of some sort. This year is the first year that we know a head of time what events/work shops would be so you can plan accordingly.

There are drawings, a Christmas Party, able to partisipate in the MARSH donated Moody Gardens SPS Tank Build. SOOO much stuff...

Oh yeah and you get discounts from local vendors. Some are 10% some are more it just depends on the sponsor.

A lot of our sponsors give 10-15% off purchases for paid marsh members. So basically if you're going to be spending more than $300 over the course of an entire year at marsh sponsored LFS the membership will pay for itself right there I've saved hundreds of dollars over the few years I've been a paid member.

If you can tell me what post you want to edit then i can do it for you... otherwise in the right hand corner of your post is a button that says "edit post"... its right next to the "reply" button
