Can I get a few opinions on this grow bulb I'm gonna buy for my Chaeto growth in sump?

Lowe's Home Improvement

I had 2 stunner strips on it one white one 50/50 and had great growth, but they don't seem to last much longer than a year, always right outside warranty... I have no interest in spending 70 bucks for a sump light, just what I went with several years ago when you couldn't really find a decent bulb like this.

Thank you!

Thanks for the assist on the link, copied over on mobile so that's probably why.

That's eh bulb I was looking at, so I think that's the route I'll take.

Appreciate the responses.

Ok I went to lowes, walmart and home depot found some of those led bulbs and some have BR30 and BR40 so what is that compared to PAR 38?

bulb ID DD page

BR == bulged reflector,
PAR == parabolic aluminized reflector

The number is the size in 1/8" increments so BR30 == 1/8"*30 so 3.75" bulb reflector and a PAR38 is an parabolic aluminized reflector with a diameter of (1/8"*38 == ) 4.75"

These designations have nothing to do with the color temperature as Ben stated above.
