I don't have insurance of any kind. I do however have a part time job so I'm not completely broke. Anyone know of a cheap place to get a root canal? My freeking tooth is aching bad (front incisor). The incisor already has a crown on it. I think the place that did it originally did a horrible job (10years ago) and so my incisors get infected every other year or more often. Sad, I know. I want to just get a root canal and end the problem once and for all if possible. So, anyone knows of a cheap/budget place to get it done other than the dental college due to the fact that it takes forever to get the procedure finish. I'm hurting now!

Thanks in advance.

What area of town are you in? I can see what I can find, my health insurance has a referral line that I can call and pricing was one of the categories. When I had some stuff done I got a payment plan, it was called CARE credit. The interest was nominal and the payments were low.

i'm 10 mins from Bush airport. I'm willing to travel to anywhere inside the belt if it saves me a decent amount of $$

thanks!!! I called a few places myself for the cost of a root canal. Most places tell me that you have to go in and get a first checkup and consultation prior to a price. It makes sense, but I just need a rough estimate to see if I can afford it. GRRRR...

This is the only one that came up with less than 3 dollar signs that also did root canals. She said something about going to brighter.com for a discount dental plan, maybe that will help if you can cancel it after you are done. Hope this helps.

They are really far! I called them anyways. $25 for xray/consultation. From there, the doc will see if I needed a root canal or not. That's the same price as Apple Dentist so I went there for $25 for xray/consultation. The doc said that I don't have inflammation of the pulp or anything. It's just sensitive from possible biting on something really fast or hard. He told me to just monitor it. If I get sensitive to hot or cold, give them a call and come in so they can take a look. Maybe by that time, I will have a FT job and insurance.

Thanks for the help everyone.
