Dang. Sorry to hear that.

from cemiclean: Safe for Reef Tanks, All Invertebrates, Desirable Macro Algaes, important nitrifiying bacteria and all fish.

I guess you can't believe everything you read.

I would start writing a letter to them.

I would look around your tank to make sure that is what killed everything. You might have overlooked something, but then again stranger things can happen.

Let me know if you want to redo the tank man.

I think I'll take a break from the hobby..wife isn't too happy at the moment..painful looking at an empty tank..u think I should clean the rocks and the sand bed before shutting the tank down..

I lost two butterfly's to ChemiClean. I was very upset especially since I finally had them eating pellet and flake food.

They died with-in a few hours of dosing the chemiclean and I even cut the dose by a third before using it.

Fortunately nothing else seemed to be bothered.

I saw more than a few reviews on Marine Depot with people reporting complete or partial loss of thier livestock after using this product. Despite that, it still has a 4 out 5 stars rating

Sorry to hear about your loss.

well lets just keep your tank running. We can just redo the rocks and change out the sand.

I had something similar occur in one of my freshwater tanks when i used a algae remover. I did some research afterwards and from what i read, when the algae is "removed" it's actually killed which releases ammonia therefore doing some harm to the inhabitants in the tank.

check for ammonia and nitrite as well. I've got some filter floss from my wet/dry that should have a good amount of beneficial bacteria to help break down the ammonia and speed up any cycle that might be occuring. I'm located at 59 @ 99, let me know otherwise i was going to change it out this weekend.
