Looking at the photon series on reefbreeders and was curious as to how to decide which degree of optics I would need for my tank. My dimensions are 30" x 22" x 19" I am also looking at radions and comparison between the two would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Depends on what your wanting to grow. The lower the degree of optics the more punch through the water your going to get. But this also usually means more potential spot lighting and less blending the farther down into the water you go. Everyone is going to have their own opinion on different brands. At the end of the day both of these units are full spectrum and both will sufficiently provide enough lighting to grow sps at any depth in the tank. The biggest difference between the units is the amount of coverage, controllability and the price. It really up to you to determine do you want the best bang for your buck or the bells and whistles, most of which you will probably never use.

Thanks. I went ahead and ordered a reef breeders photon 24 with the 90 degree optics. After spending all night going crazy reading 1000s of pages about the fixture figured that would be the way to start out for now. Plus it's half the price.
