Was looking at this product as a replacement for GAC and Fe[SUB]2[/SUB]O[SUB]3[/SUB](GFO). Anyone have any experience with it? Emails with the manufacturer indicate that the phosphate absorbing resin is not Al[SUB]2[/SUB]O[SUB]3[/SUB](Aluminum Oxide like SeaChem).

I've seen one of the major blog guys say they were running it and had really positive things to say about it. I'll see if I can track down the link.

I got it online. I put it in this past weekend. I'm not using it in the filter bag and am concerned about the very small resin beads getting past the filter pad in TLF150. Will see how it goes..

Hey Steve, any update on your experience with this? I have been using it on my Biocube and it has been very good. I am going to be purchasing some more to put on my other tanks.

Sorry about that... I tried it in the bag and also rigged up a way to use it in a reactor using their bag cut into circles to help contain the media. When I had it in the reactor it became essentially a solid block after about 20 days... My take and PO4 readings indicated no noticeable "new" additional filtering for the tank and it wore out (lost ability to remove phosphates) faster than BRS ROX carbon and super GFO combo that I was using previously. I don't really have a nitrate problem since I dose vodka/vinegar...always phosphates... So I'm just back to using that combo. I may play around with a combo of seachem purigen and BRS(ROX/Super GFO) in the future.
