I think it has to do with the nem.

also tank raised often do not host. Wild caught have some training and if one of your two is wild she will teach the other.

A few years ago I read a post somewhere with people talking about actually printing out a pic of another clown and laminating it then putting it in the nem and using that to get the other clowns to host. I cant say if it works but could be with a try.

I've also heard that CB clowns may take years to host anything. And, they can host anything from a large toadstool to a duncan or even a torch/hammer.

I have one that "host" my algae magnet. I don't think it is true hosting, but he sleeps with it at night.

I'm hoping with the new one that will come out of QT in a couple weeks, maybe they will find something to actually host with...but being CB its a crap shoot.

My saddlebacks never hosted and they had several different nems to try. One idea might be to set up a 10 gal tank connected to your main system and put the nem in there with the clowns for a week or two. It may be small enough that they will realize what they can do then when you put them back into the DT they will continue hosting it. This is a bit of work to induce hosting but if you really want them to host it may be worth a try.

i have two black onyx that host my frogspawn and a tomato that loves any kind of anemone, problem is the nems i have now are pretty small and he is huge so he just pretty much molests them until they stay sucked up all the time.
